Cooking Contest: Cap'Cab by Lakshmi Pochampally



For the filling

Ingredients
1/2 cup cabbage, grated
1/2 cup Bengal gram flour (besan)
1 teaspoons sugar
1 teaspoon green chilli-ginger paste
2 tablespoons chopped coriander
1 tsp jeera
salt to taste
2 medium sized capsicums
oil for frying

How to proceed

Method:

Cut thecapsicum into halves vertically. Remove the seeds carefully so as to retain the shape of the halves.

Mix all the ingredients for the filling in a bowl with 2 tablespoons of water and mix gently.

Fill each capsicum half with the filling.

Deep fry

Another healthy option is

Place the capsicum halves in a greased glass bowl. Cover with a lid and microwave on HIGH for 3 minutes.

Allow the capsicums to cool. Cut each capsicum half into thick strips.
